Hi, Rita is deaf
I kept my eyes on her, as she seemed as though she could hear but I noticed she was taking visual cues from the other cats. The vets also said yes she is deafā¦ I started to notice when she just want getting to know her name, and that she felt the wind when opening the back door it wasnāt actually the noise of it opening.
She is so cute as the loud noise she makes for how little she is, Iām so glad she is apart of my family as the other cats really take care of her and each other and Iv researched is better for them to have other pets living with.
She is so good, she wonāt be able to go out like my other cats so Iām going to build a nice cat run enclosure so she can still enjoy the outdoors with me when Iām BBQ and reading in the summer.
I wanted to say thankyou to you for bringing it to my attention as I thought it and had my doubts but i thought she could hear, and you helped me keep alert to this fact.
She is so happy and Iām so glad I get to take care of her. She was sleeping under my bed which made me notice more too and the fact she tried to Jump on the hoover instead of run away from it but the past week+ she sleeps on the sofa in the day and on my bed at night with the rest of the pets so I feel confident she feels safe.
I hope your doing okay
I wish i could give you a squeezy hug
I understand you feel a deep sadness and thats okay, its ok to wait until your ready
Losing our pets is losing family it is big xx and it takes time to heal and its good to share this if it helps you
