My coworker said she moved this little guy 20 feet off the walkway so he didn’t get squished, but he crawled back so she had to do it again

Now I know it’s an American dagger moth caterpillar and their hair can embed into skin like a splinter and cause a rash. I hope she didn’t touch it :grimacing:

Awe  I love it! Thank you so much for thinking of me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I don’t think I’ve ever seen them eating like that, or in a herd like that. Reminds me of the deer around here, but way cooler!

I see them every day, but never that close. They usually run away but this one wasn’t scared.

I see alot of those too. They’re either adorable or terrifying. No in between.

Where I live I’ve been told they eat ticks / hundreds a day. They also really like cat food. :hugs:

This really creeped me out the first time I saw it(in the dark), until I realized what it was. I’ve been trying to find the picture I have(had?) from that night, but can’t. Since it fits the conversation, I’m gonna share this bc :joy::rofl:

*Not my photo(better than mine), but taken somewhat near me

Fun fact: They’re North America’s only marsupial, and they’re resistant to rabies :+1:
