Wild animals we adore

Where I live I’ve been told they eat ticks / hundreds a day. They also really like cat food. :hugs:

This really creeped me out the first time I saw it(in the dark), until I realized what it was. I’ve been trying to find the picture I have(had?) from that night, but can’t. Since it fits the conversation, I’m gonna share this bc :joy::rofl:

*Not my photo(better than mine), but taken somewhat near me

Fun fact: They’re North America’s only marsupial, and they’re resistant to rabies :+1:

Baby desert spiny on the side of my house. Watching him pick off any bugs that try to creep by him.
Must’ve dropped his tail at some point. I see this guy every few days, usually in my greenhouse.

Think its him, at least. Unless there’s tons of babies running around sans-tail.

Aww that’s the cutest thing I’ve seen today  I can’t wait to show my daughter this tomorrow. we have such a nice time snuggling up in bed looking through this thread it’s her favourite .she wants to be a vet or she said if she’s not clever enough she’ll be happy to look after the homeless dogs :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:. foodie thread comes a close second tho…

I actually had a pretty close encounter with this Sea Lion today. So close, as the waves kept pushing him to shore, I was keeping my distance and not taking a pic. I thought maybe he was in trouble. I thought maybe I’d be in one of those marine rescue things. Thankfully he saw me and eventually swam out to sea. So cool. Hope he’s ok.

How about a Pouch of Pelicans?
Or a Pod or a Scoop?

Saw my friend again.
I’m calling her Minnie.

I like to think Minnie is up there checking in on me once and awhile. And besides she has a pin head like Minnie did.
I miss her so much

Bunnies are all over my sister’s neighborhood. Very skittish though so getting pics is hard.

Caught on a trail camera we had out to catch a rare phascogale which lives somewhere near, we caught this wonderful mamma pretty face wallaby with joey in pouch both snacking in the morning. So cute how the little joey stays in the pouch and only pokes its head out to eat when mamma leans over to eat.

Alright Dundee :joy: But no, I know. Biggest ones we get are a bit smaller than that one. I just think it’s funny that almost everyone is afraid of spiders, even teeny tiny ones. It’s not their fault they look creepy, and I don’t know anyone who’s actually been ‘attacked’ by a spider

While out for a walk over the weekend, i was intrigued by this, but scared to get too close. It was definitely still active. Bees scare me!
