Went down for a walk at the park by the lakefront today and got to see this family on a walk too
One of the three chipmunks
I’ve recently caught sneaking in and out of a hole next to our garage door. Best pic I could get without scaring him back into hiding.
Edited to add : I think I should name them Alvin, Simon & Theodore ![]()
I don’t know how I accidentally deleted my post from yesterday⁉️ Doh! Today we saw a moose in Yellowstone.
Here are the ones we saw yesterday.
Elk
Bison
@Chance @SinceIAwoke You guys reminded me
I found a snail at work and showed a young coworker who was outside. 10 minutes later, he walks inside like this ![]()
(Then safely returned it to the laundry bin where I found him
It was all I could do to NOT steal “soberinos” in my check in post…. Just sayin ![]()

Why does your co-worker have a human stuck to his butt?
I can see a Snail Bus Stop set up and all the snails will want to travel like this.. What a story that snail will have to tell the grandkid snails.
I was so worried this baby was gonna get hit by a car, so I blocked the entire road. Just stood there, not knowing what direction to go to find momma. Eventually he/she was safely off into the woods.
Aww. Very clever move blocking the road. I don’t know if I would have thought of that.
Bless your heart! grateful the fawn had you looking out for it

This guy was actually in the grass when Stubbs noticed and tried to go after him. I luckily stopped the dog from getting him and he is now hanging out by this log . Now I don’t particularly like snakes but since living in the country I’ve had to learn to deal with them. I also think I would have been much more grossed out by whatever Stubbs would have done to the snake had he caught him ![]()
We put a clear feeder up on the patio doors so my kitties could watch the birds. Today I got to watch them watch this fellow as he cracked the geometric code to fling his body in here.
Squizzzzlllleeee
Love them ![]()
That’s a young black winged demoiselle by the way. I think you guys call them ebony jewelwings. It’s very young and male, your one, if I am correct in identifying it. I walked a canalway recently where they were breeding and there were THOUSANDS of them. It was quite striking.
