I know when I was doing daily yoga last year I felt great and was in really good shape. Just haven’t managed to get back to it. This week is the first time I’ve done more than a couple of consecutive days in a while.
I think my goal will be to do yoga most days rather than every day to keep my routine a bit more flexible and give myself less reasons to hate myself when I’m in a slump! I know for some people routine is really important though and it sounds like it’s working for you which is awesome

I did start Dedicate at the start of October so I haven’t been doing it every day I’m just doing what I can when I can and trying to enjoy it. I started Dedicate this year and didn’t finish it so I just want to do that and then I will go with the flow a bit more. It’s really nice to be able to just go with what you need. Although I find I often need whatever is happening in any yoga class/video I do!
I only went to that one yin class. I really liked it but I just struggle to get the energy and enthusiasm to go in the evenings. I know once I’m there I’d enjoy it though so I think I’ve just got to suck it up and go!
Not feeling very strong in some ways but managed chair pose on tip toes and stuck with it despite the shaking!
Nearly didn’t do yoga this morning, thought ah I’ll do it later… But I probably wouldn’t. My motivation gets weaker as the day goes on. Seeing all of you posting and your words of encouragement made me get on the mat and I’m glad I did. Thank you all
I did day 1 dedicate today, I had been putting off because 50 minutes seems a lot to me, but boy am i glad i did this, such a lovely gentle yummy routine, what a gift to myself. Thanks for motivating me Siand.
Highly recommend this to any level yogi’s esp newbies (@anon13078412) really really good
Ah glad you enjoyed it. I took a break over the weekend but did day 11 today. Am going to finish it however long it takes! Most of them are about 20/25 minutes so that’s good from a motivation/fitting it in perspective.
Day 11 - @Jane.c it’s the one with the crow pose on t he image of the video but actually it’s just an option at the end. Most of it is balancing. And it started in childs pose
My heels very briefly touched the floor in downward dog today. I know it’s not really about all of that but I’m pleased because I feel like I’m getting close to where I was with practice last year when I was doing it daily. But I feel like I’ve got some balance and can come back to it regularly without feeling like I have to do every single day without fail. The all or nothing mindset is a really tricky one to get out of!
Also this happened I thought it was worth being a bit less mindful to get some pictures!
