Aw! What a precious face, beautiful like her mama. I’m glad to hear your update and that the social media black out went well. A 30 day break helped me to find a balance in using it and I feel a lot more comfortable setting healthy boundaries around my time connected virtually these days and take longer breaks when I need to. And hooray for the new projects and less loneliness!!!
She’s so beautiful! Kids are soooo fun at that age, and she is lucky to have such a good momma.
Oh wow, cuteness overload!!!
Aww! She’s a beautiful lil angel.
Happy to hear you’re doing well and finding enjoyment in your new hobby.
That sounds tough, but you are doing your best and I hope your wife and kids will see this in the long run. Time is able to heal the biggest wounds, and so it will also heal yours. Sending you strength and endurance, and good hopes!
Thank you @AlexWayhill for your support. I e been diving head first into my AA community. Going to daily meetings and doing prayer and readings. It’s been 10 months since I saw my daughter….I choose alcohol over her. I have a lot of shame and resentment. I’m on speaking terms with my estranged wife. We are taking it one day at a time.
I don’t know you well. I do respect your decisions and actions. What you write about isolation and the conflict you feel about how to be in the world does fit with the arc you have shared with us so far. You are a person who feels deeply and thinks much. You are moved by the injustice you witness. Like me, you are trying to reconcile how to be in the physical world, in a culture, in a family, with how to be in the divine. It can feel selfish sometimes and we’ve been inculcated with “selfish is bad”.
Sobriety is no guarantee that life will be light and meaningful. Life will be heavy and confusing at times, and that can be for a day or a season or a year.
May you continue to feel the blessings and love that is showering over us.
I’ve been thinking about this statement. At least part of the meaning is that you feel constantly in relationship to others, and that is very profound and interesting for me to reflect on.
Wanted to send a shout out to Jan @Crazy_Dutchie. Dont think ive seen ur posts in awhile and wanted to check in with ya
Thanks. Doing well.
Hello I’m doing alright, thank you for thinking of me!
