You’re AWESOME @Jennajen
Had to skip today bc of an annoying headache I got bc work was too stressful today
I’m in! Did it start on Aug.01? Which makes tomorrow (Weds) Day 5? Good that I start 1 day before rest day!
Day 4
Day 2, 30 seconds is max 2 min seems totally impossible at this point
Day 5 done!
I have to admit that I’ve been slacking and not done any since day one so just done days2,3,4 and 5 as a combined 2 minutes. This time I did it with arms stretched on my fists.
I can sure feel it in my arms now, think this is something il start doing every day even after the August challenge is over.
Planks are an awesome way to build a strong core. Doing a daily 2 or 3 minute plank is a great idea!
my first attempt was 1 minute 20 seconds then I shat myself
Day 5:
Day 5 done
Hey, this is getting harder!
After the first minute i started to think that id struggle to get to the two minutes but i had the timer nearby spurred me on.
Nice work Paul @Dolse71,for tomorrow work on doing the same but without the end outcome lol.
That sounds messy…
I’ll do day 4 and 5 tonight when it’s less hot
Sorry guys, I’m going to have to bow out of this challenge. Still recovering from a pulled muscle I receive trying to get off the floor from day one.
I will be here to cheer you all on in spirit.
P. S. My body and physical state is more geared to reading books.
When your muscle has healed just try and do another couple of seconds but be careful getting down and back up. You have gotten sober and maintained that sobriety one day at a time you can apply the same theory to this. Just for today (see what I did there) commit to giving it another go when your healed. Each time it builds upon the basis and will get easier.
I’ve actually got a daily exercise routine I’m doing at the moment so I had already done a plank and some crunches before hand but bc you lot are doing the challenge I thought I would just test myself, if I wasn’t already hurting I might have got a bit further. I tell you what else I thought was going to be easy and wasn’t and that’s just sitting with your legs bent and your back up against the wall. , hope you are well mate
don’t pick up any heavy books well apart from a big blue one
Thank you Gareth for your kind words and motivation. My planking days are over though… If I try again I’ll end up in a body cast.lol I must return my focus on recovery, sobriety, motivation and writings one day at a time, just for today. (I did see what you did there.) Love it.
Just wondering if there’s an emotional support group for failed plankings. lol
