Become a Patron!

Hello everyone :slight_smile:

Talking Sober now has a Patreon page.

What’s Patreon? It’s a way for members, fans or followers of something to contribute to its growth and future. Those people then become known as “Patrons”, and Patrons get cool rewards in exchange.

To start off, I’ve added three rewards:

  1. Access to the Patron-only category on the forum
  2. The “Patron” title that you can use on the forum when posting
  3. The Patron icon that you can overlay on your profile picture when posting

Remember to use the same email address on Patreon that you used on Talking Sober so it knows which account to grant the rewards to.

If there are any other rewards you’d like to see, let me know.

All of the information for this is on the Patreon page, so please head over there and have a read.

@Robin for some reason I can’t access the patreon info page. When I click on the link, it’s blank.

That’s weird. It’s a page on another website, so it should work. I tried on PC, phone’s browser and through Sober Time app and I can get to it. How do you access it?

Patrons make “pledges”. These are small donations of a few dollars. You get different rewards based on the size of your pledge. You can see more info on the Patreon page

I was just wondering whether I’ll get charged a non sterling transaction fee on my credit card every month… No matter what its a small fee!

As far as I know, all charges will be in USD. You can also use PayPal if you prefer. Here’s a link to the payments FAQ:

Hi @Robin! I just signed up to be a Patron. Hopefully, I did it correctly. You get a separate Patreon profile as well, right? It says that I’m a patron of TalkingSober on my profile so that’s a good thing I think, LOL.
