After resetting my counter for a few times again  I’m now on 4th day without binging. However, my binges lately were nothing like what they used to be and that pleases me a lot! The thing is that I don’t any longer eat sweets before bed and therefore if I binge it will be on something like fruit, nuts, or some normal food. For whatever reason that tends to be filling me up much quicker than any chocolate ever did so my binging was more like over-eating I’d say. But I wasn’t happy about it so I resetted my clock.
The acid reflux I used to have is gone. My mind is still blown away by what a difference in my life this made :exploding_head: I can’t stress enough how bad I had it in EVERY SINGLE DAY and now? Nothing!! Except for a certain type of cakes, I can still have some sweets and not have it at all, but even if I have the type of a cake which gives me acid reflux, it will be very mild. That said, I’m opting out food which gives me acid reflux, even if the symptoms are mild, because my body is telling me that there’s something bad for me, and I can’t justify willingly hurting myself, especially when there’s another food to eat.
I’m trying to slowly shift myself towards not eating sweets unless I need to physically perform. I fully cut out chocolate and didn’t eat any for approximately a month (I don’t have a counter for this), except for once, when my colleague gave me some small piece and I ate it. That was a small slip but even though that happened, it’s a huge achievement for me.
Despite resetting my counter, I’m very happy with how I’m doing now. It doesn’t mean that I’ll settle for less, there are goals to achieve, I want 100% freedom, not only half way through. But I feel like I’m gradually building habits and strength as a firm base for life in which I recovered.

I had to reset yesterday. I find that if I eat something with a ton of added sugar, I just keep wanting more and more sweet things. So that’s what happened yesterday. Got back on track today (mostly).

That’s so good to hear. We both have been in and out of one on one therapy but your situation of having the same conversations over and over is a good way to put it and it is what we are doing too.

One on one therapy is great and relationships also have their own dynamics that might need to be seen in context.

Some using dreams, nothing too disturbing.

I am the same. I have issues if I eat sugar. So I eat it in a bare minimum and it works for me well. I tend to fully avoid it in the evening, because that’s when I get the worst. I’m highly recommending to cut on sugar big time, if not quitting it all. You will feel so much better, I even feel like if I have more energy. No sugar crush anymore

I definitely need to work on lessening my sugar intake .. as I write this I’m drinking a coffee from Dunkins :woman_facepalming:t3:

Summer in Japan means the seasonal goods are mint and lemon flavour, my two favourite flavourings. Rather than restrict or binge, I am allowing myself one a day or every two days, usually on my way home from work. That plan would usually fail miserably but I am doing well so far. Evenings I am doing well with cold teas and fruit before bed.

Still have been maintaining my no eating after midnight.
