Checking in, day 45. I’m working late, have quite a lot of tasks before the holidays, but at least I’m doing it sober.

Checking in: we got gift shopping DONE ! Woohoo :note to self shop a month before stores are crazy packed ! I still enjoyed my time with wifey and not a feeling to drink at all

It’s okay. I got accepted to nursing school in November. I start in April. My husband is going to have to support us both while I attend for 21 months and it’ll be better financially to stay with his brother. I’m going to make money off my house, which I intend to put into a money market until we’re ready to buy our own after school. So yes, April, I promise it’s okay. Thank you for your concern though!

It takes some courage to make a change like this. A short term sacrifice for a longer term gain. Probably something that scares most people, so they stay on the same course.
I’m glad you’re pursuing something that will hopefully bring you more fulfillment. Even if it means a little step backwards to get there.

Day 80.
Sunday winding down. Went for another long walk with little man. A bit milder today at 0°c. I’m so grateful for him; I’m struggling with emotions worried about a family member with mental health issues. I wish I could help him but I know I can’t “fix” him (as much as I want) but I can just be there to show my support from halfway across the country. My heart breaks that he’s struggling so much. It’s such a helpless feeling. I can’t imagine his internal turmoil on a daily basis. I hurt that he hurts. Phew I didn’t mean to spew all that and now my little guy asked why I’m crying. He sure keeps me grounded. And my tooth extraction sites hurt too. Aren’t I just a bucket of sunshine? Lol sorry about all that. Time to tidy up supper and get bath started for him. I’m off tomorrow, hooray!

I went to the big mall yesterday and phoaaaa it was packed. I was outta there quick smart. I dislike malls , I like shops that are out on the street so you can breathe lol

Me to there definitly much better i dont mind crowds or malls much ive learned alot of patience in my sobriety to keep me calm in check out lines 
glad you were able to get in and out usually have to wait a while .

187 days. Having a very enjoyable slow day. Actually slept through the night last night. Felt awesome waking and feeling so rested. We were able to finish Christmas shopping and now we need to get the wrapping done. Plan to make shepherds pie for supper and have a lazy movie watching evening. Very thankful for the peace of mind and body today.
