Day 1142
I missed yesterday I was so busy! No complaints though I love staying busy! I was called into work yesterday to work the COVID vaccine clinic and then asked to come in again today. I feel truly blessed to have my job and a very good employer. I ran home on my lunch to check on my boys to see if they’re doing there assignments for the day grateful My 18yr daughter is willing to be there to help them and keep them on track because boys will be boys and they’ll forget or get distracted. I was bummed because I wanted to check out the Tuesday zoom meeting posted on here but I was at work…there’s always next week and I have the meeting that I co-host tonight. I feel extremely blessed and grateful for all that I have.

190 days tells me that at any point you make a conscious decision to change something else in your life you can. Are the other things really affecting you that much right now or maybe helping you stay sober bc 190 days sounds a lot but it’s still early and we’re still on the learning curve. When we stop our addiction we have a tendency to want to go all in and change every little thing right here right now. Enjoy today, everything else will sort itself out with very little help from you when the time is right.

Found out I cant go bk to work without an appeal to the state of WV for my felonies. So I’ve been given 30 days to complete. Which means they will be holding my job for me. I know this is just a speed bump but I want to pout so bad right now I just can’t stand it.
Trusting God, doing the next right thing and tapping into my new found patience.
Fingers crossed. Things really have never been easy, why should I expect any different. Got the job… Goal # 2 : keep the job.

Ha. Distance learning is a nightmare for everyone. We had about 4 months of it here. Internet is fast though and all kids have good internet and devices, so we were able to teach lessons remotely using MS Teams. Still rubbish though. Thankfully back teaching in person now, albeit with masks and social distancing. Singapore is a bit draconian in dealing with Covid, but it is really working. Single digits of new cases per day (almost all imported) and only around 30 deaths in total.

Love me a bit of trig and calculus. That’s mainly what I was teaching yesterday. We can do a barter system. You save my life, I teach you maths. Seems like a decent deal to me.

@Singtone I may need ur help in the future too. My son is only in the 5th grade, but the level of maths in Japan is way higher than I did at school at the same age. The language barrier doesn’t help either.
Day 191
Earthquake and snowfall in my area last night. Mother nature is flexing her muscles. My lesson idea was finally accepted to the publication. It is not much, but it can be written on my cv.
