Checking in daily to maintain focus #8

Ha ha nice!! The weather was better were you were! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::+1: Glad the weather was calmer today, even seen some sun trough the window of my shop.

Well not that close Iā€™m afraid :hugs: I wish! Itā€™s a one hour drive by car to the nearest beach. In my next life I hope for a beach house :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

On Day 1. Again and again. So tired of not getting good sleep and feeling depressed. So plan for today is Netflix, a nap because I got shitty sleep, maybe a meeting (but I feel miserable). Possibly start to write my story so it could help keep me focused going forward. Anyway Iā€™ll tell more about me another day this week. As for today Iā€™m gonna keep referring to other peoples stories on here for inspiration.

Day 6 here feeling good again learning not to take a good ammount of days and months sober for granted. Did what I always used to do in and my hours of stress (dog hit by car broke leg horrible situation) I fell off the wagon into a pile of shite full of cigs and drink. I chose to do this itā€™s something i must work on, as I know life is not a bed of roses and I canā€™t keep doing this to myself itā€™s like the perfect excuse and Iā€™m refusing to use it anymore. Peace out

Day 317. Feeling better. The side effects of stopping Lexapro are becoming less intense and Iā€™m starting to sleep better. It took a solid week. Right now I feel fine emotionally, but I think it will be much easier to spiral into a funk if I donā€™t pay careful attention to what I focus on. Stay awesome all! :muscle::facepunch:

And thatā€™s the thing right there, donā€™t become your thoughts just sit back and let em do what they gotta do. If we all did everything we thought weā€™d all be locked up in an asylum by now.

672, yesterday was a productive day but I didnā€™t get to bed until late making today a little tiresome. Not feeling my best today but Iā€™m sure Iā€™ll feel peachy again soon.

Cleaning and organizing sounds great.
I am sure it helps put you in a sweet spot with the MIL.

Nice work on 48 days!!

@Fargesia_murielae
Your post was a great share.
Tearing things down while we build other better things is all part of the process.
Keep working the steps because you are doing great.

@blake11

Left work and came home to do my cycling challenge. Stage 3 of 9 tonight.
It was a low cadence high torque session. This session was challenging since you are pedaling high power at low rpms. It tires your legs quickly. Had special guests show-up during the session.
Mountain Goats!!!

After cycling, I cooked dinner, TS check-in, work, and then beddy bye. :sleeping_bed: :sleeping:

Have a good evening all and stay sober!!! :+1:

Yes, agreed! I think meds are kind of like bumpers in bowling. They help keep our thoughts in the lane. Hopefully I have enough practice now to keep my thoughts in check.
