Wow, those are amazing! You are very talented.
It is 100% rainbow (color progressive) yarn. I am just learning, so switching in yarn is way over my knowledge and skill level. I love the rainbow, ombre yarns.
Simply gorgeous work! That is a skill area that is so beyond me, but I’ve watched a few crafting shows about it. Amazing. Do you have a fancy sewing machine you use?
Edit: I can see the machine in the first photo! Neat.
I bought myself a Janome 3160qdc for Christmas. So far it has been worth every penny! Quilting is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos to get me started on the basics. Now I’m winging it on my own
I just bought some needles and a ball of yarn, I’m wanting to take it up as a hobby but I really don’t know where and how to start lol.
There are sooo many YouTube tutorials! Do a search and start with one, and if it doesn’t work for you try a different one until you find a good one. I really like the tutorials from knitting daily, it’s a show done by interweave knits, but there are plenty of others. Knitpicks website also has instructions you can follow. https://www.knitpicks.com/learning-center
Enjoy!
I love the colours you’ve used! I think the stitches look great!
Had fun making this pillow with a bubble stitch.
(Hopefully no one finds this offensive, I have an odd sense of humour)
I love it, I want one myself.
Finished the scarf for my daughter and added fringe. It is a very soft yarn. I am pleased with how it came out.
I have lots of leftover yarn, so may try a baby knit hat for my bestie’s granddaughter who is due in a couple of months.
I’ve now had 3 crochet lessons. I’m loving it but I’m not doing so much yet. Yesterday I learned how to make circles and I SUCK at it!! It’s hard. But I’m still going. I’m practicing stuff using all the yarns I inherited from my mom. Mostly it’s crappy acrylic stuff. If I get good enough I’m going to invest in some GOOD cotton yarns and start making stuff!! I have a pattern for an African Flower square that I can’t wait to try and do.
I started with a big giant hook. It helped me see the stitches and make stuff quick. Then I fine tuned from there. I recently just started holding it comfortably so make sure you pay attention to that before you get in a bad habit!
It’s so cute! I want one.
Beautiful…love it…I’ll take one after Mel…lol…love the clours
Any suggestions on how to learn knitting. YouTube videos etc?
There are lots and lots of YouTube tutorials out there! I think you just need to search “learn to knit” and pick one and if that one doesn’t suit you, try a different one. I frequently use YouTube for techniques I need a refresher on how to do. It often involves lots of pausing and rewinding I hope you give it a try!!!
Wow, what a great idea! Stealing…
Thanks Rosa
I’m.going to try this weekend. I have the tools just need to start!
