Was at the gym this morning for sparring. Was a good time.
I’ve taken a week off fitness all together, apart from a nice hike and some manual labour. I’m ready to get back on it after a mental health break.
Yesterday did 3km in running, successful start of my plan to get back to training. And now just heading to do another 3km + Garmin coach initial training (2+5+2min) to test my condition vs goal I set. Happy.
I was almost 250 lbs back in January of this year. Biggest I’ve ever been. I don’t work out as much as I’d like to with busy life. I get it in when I can. Even if it’s just a quickie. I’m almost at my goal of my high school weight at 215. I’m out of the obese zone! Putting on muscle and losing body fat. I definitely wouldn’t be doing this while still drinking and of course the drugs are not a good way to lose weight hah.

Was short on time this morning so did 1 hour of cardio btwn the elliptical and the stationary bike.
Struggled with finding motivation today (almost didnt go to the gym), but i remembered that its more important to be consistent than it is to be perfect at my workout. Glad i went

Thank you. That June 2022 date is the day I set up my goal. I was 258. You can definitely tell I didn’t do a darn thing until I got sober. Just wild I let myself become that version. But he doesn’t exist anymore
A little Saturday stroll. I think I might try and start throwing in some running next time. Running always makes me nervous with my knee/joint history. Maybe I’ll start in spurts and just be observant of the feedback my body gives me

Started fathers day with sparring. Boxing today. Got 10 rounds in, all of them pretty high volume
100 burpees in a vest. nice
35mins of running at a slower pace, still building up my aerobic condition. Before that I trained using a jump rope - 3 x 30s and then 7 x 45s, followed by 4mins plyometric exercises. Great stuff, will definitely continue and increase intensity over time as it also prevents injuries during running and boost you a bit

To make up for that, I am running loads of laundry from the 2nd floor to the basement washing machine and back, did 18 sets of stairs so far
Boxing pads this morning. Just wanted an easy one today. Paired up with an inexperienced guy so was able to just cruise.
In the afternoon while my daughter was training I did some stretching and leg strengthening exercises. Its good because I can workout and still watch her train
