I don’t say your illnes is “better” or worse, but some addictions include very intimate areas of self esteem. A man is always able to drink - raising a glass is not a problem (unless you are completely drunk). With PMO you are worried: is my body (generally THIS area) still working? And that is the moment when you can slip…
Im sure you’ll find a lot of support on PMO here. As drugs and alcohol are my issues those are what my posts are about. Not every thread needs to be tailored to suit every addiction. I think a quick review of this thread would indicate that.

I could probably say the same about masturbation. But out of respect for people on this forum struggling with PMO, I don’t. But the same courtesy would be nice. Drinking almost killed me. So, even as a woman, raising a glass would be a huge problem for me.
