February workout challenge

As I squat they end up out in front of me like they are holding a ball. I don’t know what it is called. My crackly knees make me feel elderly. :rofl:
Ugly, bad and/or creakily, we are doing it.

Mine end up chest height but almost cupped like I’m holding something.

And I’ve been told the arms shouldn’t swing. Controlled movements.

Day 5 exercise :heavy_check_mark: - including a googled photo of a squat. I do mine this way or put my hands behind my head (known as a prisoner squat). The main focus is keeping the weight in your heels and not letting your chest fall forward.

This is key. We used to put 5lb plates under the front of our feet to force you back on your heels when learning to squat.
I can’t do heavier squats anymore after a hip surgery which kinda sucks. So I just use the leg press machine for heavier leg workouts.

I’m on day 8 over here and as part of my plan for rest days I did a 5 minute plank. I might have divided it up into 5 sets but a full 5 minutes of my life today was spent in plank. :rofl:
I’ll be here tomorrow for day 9. :muscle:t3:

I think id have to read the why comparaison is not your friend in parallel. I think thats why i avoid these things. I get in too much negative self-talk. :see_no_evil:

Day 7 exercises :heavy_check_mark: my knee is giving me some issues most likely from my long run Sunday but I think I will follow @Pandita lead and move to every other day to finish off the month
