I am grateful for having a week off.
I am grateful I sleep better although it’ll take some time for my apartment to cool down. Well, I am used to it now.
I am grateful to be sober.
I am grateful for fresh air.
I am grateful for this community.

Just For Today…

Grateful for this first crucial cup of coffee. :coffee:
Grateful for strength and endurance.
Grateful I have a job.
Grateful to provide properly for my family again.
Grateful to my HP. And finally…
Grateful to all of you here on TS for your encouragement and kindness. Thank you. :pray:

Making sure to do a gratitude list today as my mood is not great.

  1. Holding my daughter’s hand as we walk down the street.
  2. I treated us to coffee and cake today.
  3. The lovely dinner I made this evening.
  4. My household appliances that make doing a mountain of laundry quite simple.
  5. My neck stiffness has gone.

Today I have gratitude for:

  1. A nice pokey run with my doggos this morning;
  2. A morning meeting then about an hour on the phone with a new sober friend;
  3. A nice afternoon walk with the doggos;
  4. 6 days sober today;
  5. Some really excellent books to read.

Thanks Jasmine. I have had a bit of a cold and sore throat and I’m probably just feeling sorry for myself. I also found myself raising my voice to my daughter and she started to cry although we went on to spend some nice time together after.

being under the weather is hard enough but harder when you have to take care of others and try to heal yourself. Hey we are human and sometimes we yell - glad you got that all sorted with your daughter and ended up spending some quality time together :heart:

Today I am grateful for:

  • passing over 17 cravings without relapsing

  • a roasted see weed snack and a passion fruit zero lemonade

  • wearing my mums very big violett fleece jacket, hanging over a black sportswear jacket with hood, black leggings and sunglasses (it turned 15 degree suddenly and I was cold)… And the neighbour’s lady saw me and said I look like a completely freaked out batwoman. We didn’t stop laughing and she took some Fotos of us… :rofl::purple_heart::purple_heart:

  • Borschtsch soup with beetroot and cabbage from my mums garden

  • my body and my bed

Thankful for:

  • not having to hide and lie anymore.
    being able to be true / honest to my family about my struggles (opened up to my mom today that I still have intrusive thoughts abt using sonetimes, and to my dad yesterday about my depression diagnosis… I feel bad for them for having to hear it but thats life and most other things are great)

  • for my mom who is my best (and only) friend (i dont care if you think im a loser , im wonderful and so is my mom :rofl:)

-for the tastiest salad i had today and will buy again tomorrow

-for the colddddddddd thats finally back (!!!) (!!!)

-for acupuncture today and mindfulness

-that my parents arent together anymore but they remain in a somewhat friendship-like relationship, thank god

Monday, Monday…

Grateful for my first day off from work.
Grateful for the perfect day today despite it being hot.
Grateful to be employed again.
Grateful I got some errands done today.
Grateful my sister was able to look after Mom while going out to do my errands.

I am grateful the rain will stop tomorrow.
I am grateful for the Thai massage I had yesterday and that I really could relax.
I am grateful for audiobooks.
I am grateful that finally I’ll get the instructions for my new insulin pump today.

I’m grateful i’m approaching 30 days sober.
i’m grateful of being more mindful of my impulses, choosing not to be dominated by them.
I’m grateful for the highs and lows, and thankful that i’m still standing
I’m thankful for the spiritual food i take in daily.
I’m thankful for my Tools/Techniques to counter my sinful mind.
I’m thankful that i’m still fighting, and will never give up.

Things I am grateful for:

  1. Not feeling guilty when I wake up
  2. Not feeing whacked from alcohol
  3. No more UTIs
  4. Feeling like I am healing again (physically and emotionally)
  5. Being aware so much more of my world and everything in it
  6. Knowing I can come here when I need support or just to start the day surrounded by this community
  7. Finding the strength to get this far (day 38 now!!)
  8. Looking forward to a future of building on all of the above and living a healthier, happier life
  9. For pushing past an addiction I have been questioning for YEARS
  10. For learning more about and liking me again and feeling that I’m actually ok and worthy of all the goodness ahead for me and my family

Grateful for another clear and sober day.
Grateful for peace of mind.
Grateful to my HP for helping my family and I get through some tough times for the past couple of years.
Grateful I’m able to earn a living.
Grateful for early morning snuggles from our cat.

Things I’m grateful for.

  1. Today’s weather is stunning, a bit chilly but lovely sunshine.
  2. My son who came with me on our “stupid little walk for our stupid mental health” The promise of McDonalds afterwards encouraged him.
  3. The lovely ambient music I’m listening to right now.
  4. My shiny tea pot. It makes the best tea.
  5. That I’ve reached out for help despite my tendency to isolate when stressed.

  1. Im so thankful that my daughter is nothing like I was at her age…like not even remotely. Whew!!
  2. I dont have to “find some place to kick”
  3. 4 years without a drink. Lifes not perfect (whatever that is) but def so much better
  4. The present moment

Gratitude for today.

  1. Today’s yoga class and subsequent chat with the teacher about alcoholism. It was good to laugh about how ridiculous our drinking selves were.
  2. My cold symptoms have lifted significantly today. I still have a raw feeling in the back of my throat but it’s much better.
  3. Hot running water and a good bathtub.
  4. Cold shower after, I really like the way it makes me feel now.
  5. My lovely children.
