Mind Blowing Random Thoughts

I didn’t even think of that, lol. That’s probably what it is

Dec. 8th mind blowing random thought of the day: In the United States, peanut butter is required to contain a minimum of 90% peanuts or must otherwise be called “peanut spread.”

Pretty sure there are similar requirements regarding what is fruit juice, fruit beverage, or simply fruit flavoured, actually. At least in Canada.

Dec. 10th mind blowing random thought of the day: Poison dart frogs that are kept in captivity are not poisonous because they don’t have access to the insects necessary to maintain their toxicity.

How about a bonus thought for the day! Came across this. Cant verify it, but interesting nevertheless.

That comment, tho.

This is fun haha AND crows are very intelligent birds. They use tools like sticks or even a traffic light. If they wanna crack a nut f.e. they wait until the lights turn red, place the nut on the street and when the lights turn green the cars crack the nut and the crows eat them :+1: Their communication is very interesting too.

Very true.
This particular research is a few years old now, but getting a new run around the block. Fascinating stuff.

Found a fact I found interesting today. Olympic medals used to be awarded from 1912 and 1948 for art competitions. They awarded them for architecture, music, painting and sculpture.

Very cool. Crows may be one of the smartest creatures alive, aside from humans. Crows are known to be able receptive to teaching. Researchers have taught a crow how to solve a puzzle to get a treat. That crow then went and taught other crows how to do the puzzle as well. It’s also said that if they were to have webbing under their tongues, they would have a much better ability to speak than parrots.

Dec. 11th mind blowing random thought of the day: The word “girl” originated during the mid 13th century as a gender neutral term for a child. Boys were specifically called “knaves” and girls were known as “maidens.”

A job so easy, a monkey could do it! I realize a baboon is an ape.

Somehow it seems like if your alcoholic baboon employee walks upright, has no fur, and talks, it doesn’t work out nearly so well for the company.

From Wikipedia:

…and no one ever made coffee again.

Ya know who knows if the pot is empty? The person who took the last cup. Yeahhhh, you know who you are…

Mind blowing sports trivia: Nobody recorded the first Super Bowl!
It wasn’t the big deal then that it is now, and storage was at a premium before the digital age, so they taped over it.
There’s a movement going to put together existing fragments, but it’s unlikely we’ll ever see the whole thing.

Mindblowing trivia related to that: The superbowl is the biggest human/sex trafficking event in the US each year.
