Another awesome thing to think about is that it is the sun that is hurtling through space. Our galaxy is traveling, but is spinning. As the sun travels, it is actually pulling earth along with it. We are not just traveling in a circle. We are traveling away from the sun, but are also being pulled toward it. If you were to view our solar system from a huge cosmic picture, you would view what looks like a shooting star with planets and asteroids spinning in a vortex around it.

Dec. 14th mind blowing random thought of the day: The original McDonald’s restaurant that first opened in 1940 in San Bernardino, California was designed using a tennis court as a blueprint for the kitchen. The employees would then rehearse around the drawn layout using the newly invented “speedy system” in order to practice making hamburgers in under 30 seconds.

Dec. 15th mind blowing random thought of the day: The Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest structure ever built, standing at 2,717 feet tall, which is high enough to cut through the clouds in the sky.

The song “Rap God” has 1,560 words in its 6 minute and 4 second runtime, averaging to 4.28 words per second, and one section features 97 words spoken in 15 seconds, averaging to 6.5 words per second.

Since the very first International Space Station mission in 2000, NASA has been creating expedition posters usually featuring a group photo of the crew. These posters were used to advertise expeditions and were also hung in NASA facilities and other government organizations. However, when astronauts got bored of the standard group photos they decided to spice things up a bit.
