Hey everyone, I am going through withdrawals. I am very shaky and faster heart rate which I have went through withdrawals before and experienced both these symptoms. This time around I am experiencing feeling very weak all over my body just wondering if that is normal since I have not experienced it before.
There’s some good info here about these:
Give it time. Best thing you can do is A) if you need medical intervention, hit the emergency room; B) whether or not you hit the emergency, go to rehab and then regular meetings: www.FindTreatment.gov & Online meeting resources or Resources for our recovery
Go after healthy sober living like your life depends on it, and you’ll get better and stay better.
Alcohol withdrawal symptoms are one of those things that are different for everyone - there’s a lot of variables such as your bodies level of dependence on alcohol, genetics, sleep, diet, overall health etc.
I am confident that what you experience, it is normal and it will pass.
Get rest, stay hydrated and if you feel worse in the coming day(s), get to the doctor and get checked out.
Be well!
Sobriety is worth the price we pay. I hope you’re feeling better soon.
