Day 1288
I’m doing very well. I’ve been working steadily since I got back and actually started a new job about 3 weeks ago that has taken all of my focus.
I know, I know. Moderation… Health comes first. But I’m really loving it and quite proud to be a part of it. It’s only until the end of July.
The parole unit stepped me down to one visit/drug screen per month; which is terrific and if I keep my nose clean I’ll be off parole a full year early (next February)
Things at home are good, albeit challenging. This is just a very busy time for us both. We know that and we take that into account when things get complicated.
Sounds cheesy but I really have a new lease on life and although many things look the same EVERYTHING is completely different now.
It’s beautiful and I love it.

Hey!!!
So, yeah, band stuff. Well, one band played our first show on 8/14/21. The other band I was playing with is, to this day, still inactive. Nothing since 2/28/20.
I actually quit both bands mid-December 2021. Playing music has always been a love of mine, but had gotten to a point where it wasn’t bringing much joy. I had hoped that would change with the August show, but it just felt like work, and despite getting great feedback and people really loving us, it just wasn’t for me.
Still friends with all of the guys, no bad blood, I just had to be honest with them, and more importantly myself.
Still lifting, and most importantly, still sober!

Extremely stressed and trying to keep my composure with everything life has to throw at me.
Also started the process of moving on top of it all but I am alive AND sober.
Also, I’ve been averaging 6-8 hours of sleep a night and in bed before 11pm which is fucking unheard of so I mean, there’s some good in the bad.
Strict diet and exercise have some hand in that.
Thank you for not forgetting about me.
I miss yall, especially you @Dazercat.
I’ll try to pop in to drop some memes here and there but forgive me if they had already been posted in the thread already

I don’t know about you. But sometimes I stay sober because I don’t think I got another recovery in me😬. Easy does it when you can.
Bedtime’s been 10 for me. Got to get those puppas walked pretty early in the desert.

I’ve been under a cloud of heavy depression for a couple of weeks, trying to claw my way back up into the light. I made it back into triple digits though, I think it’s 103 days today. I’m 12 days and about 1400 posts behind on the checking-in thread, so now I start to catch up…
