First 2 weeks down! Struggling

Hey yall. I just got this app about a week ago and im approaching my 1st 2 weeks sober, which is tomorrow, in years. Ive drank daily for a very long time and put myself down a pretty bad path for years. Me and my girlfriend have decided to quot together so we did almost 2 weeks ago.

My apetite is messed up, i cant fall asleep quickly it takes a couple hours, and im moody.

Congratulations freeend! Your doing outstanding!

I find myself lacking hobies. Got any suggestions?

Exercise. You may do some burpees or just take long walks. Also you may choose a language you always wanted to learn, and start having fun with it on duolingo.
Some movies that wont trigger you?
Maybe some video games?

Congratulations on 2 weeks, it’s a great start! For me this early period was a bitch as well. Hang in there, better days coming.
As a hobby - I swear exercising save my life! And choice is huge, from walking, running, gym, at home… And while walking sober, without hangover, you can start noticing things you didn’t notice before. Like a beauty of clouds, architecture, trees, you name it. And there is so so so many interesting podcasts to listen to. When I go for a run, listen to one of my favourite podcasts - this really change my mood, charge my batteries. I strongly advise  If you don’t want to run, just walk.
Stay with us, it’s a great place :blue_heart:

Exercise ! Benefits to stay sober and get healthy are infinite. Include walking and checking out nature. Read read and read good positive stuff. I cook which I love. I try to make healthy good tasting meals.

All “normal” symptoms I’m afraid :hugs: but the good part about it it’s temporary.
First 3 months ore so where the hardest part for me. But the feeling of getting up with no hangover ore black outs and the support of the people here made me push through that hard part.
Each day forward will be a bit better then the day before most of the time.
Be here much, it really helps!
As you can see for yourself there is always someone awake to chat with.
This app was a huge part of my recovery and still is. I wish you the same!

I’m 90bdays sober so the first weeks are still fresh! No hangover in the morning is still the best part :grinning:
