So this is my first step

AYEEEE!! What’s up everyone so I’m on the road to recovery I thought about rehab but I want to try it on my own… So I know if I got people to back me up and push me forward I can do it. I know it’s hard for me but I never been able to actually have a community to support what I’m trying to do so I’m hoping for the best:face_holding_back_tears::grinning::grin:

Welcome Mark! You are among friends here and this place is full of love and support.
The community has been my cornerstone in sobriety. Remember that you do need connections so you don’t feel alone and get the support you need in this journey.

We can’t do this alone …it is going to be hard but it is so worth it. Take your time to read around and join in when you feel comfortable.

Congratulations on starting your solar journey - glad you are here with us :pray:t4:

Welcome Mark.
Definitely can’t do it alone. Well I couldn’t. Most can’t. Get as much of a support system as you can. Keep an open mind to all types of recovery. Lots of great info and very welcoming people here.
Have a good read around.

Join in when you’re comfortable.
:pray::heart:

Welcome Mark! Glad u found us! Hope to see check in often :slight_smile:

I believe that you can do this! To abstain from something is difficult sure, but to moderate is not in our particular talents or skill set! Addicts must never be fooled into the mental trappings of nonsense such as “one last time”, “just this once”, or even “this will be how my new life will be” once the morning rolls around on the first day. Never and always are always never, be stoic and allow struggle it’s place in your life, to sharpen a blade uses nothing soft and weak, but rather abrasively rough is what shapes our new refined selves. I love you and wish you the best Mark! Please reach out from time to time, i’m brand new to this platform and friendships while sober…
