So I’m 4 days clean today..Tuesdays I tend to slip up.. I’m really doing my best to stay focused today.. just wondering what do people do other than meetings to stay fresh and keep busy.. I do zoom.meetings, meditation, listen to podcasts and recovery podcast.. and the gym.. just would like some ideas.. thanks

You have a great list of activities! Participating in recovery groups and listening to recovery podcasts are a great way to keep your focus on recovery, and exercise is a great way to keep the mind focused as well.
In my experience in the first few days/weeks of not using cocaine I utilized reading, listening to music, and being creative as healthy activities to keep my mind busy! There were also things I steered clear of as well, like specific video games that I tended to play while using. Maybe spend some time making a list of activities that interest you, as well as activities that might be good to stay away from for now! ![]()

I dont know it’s just got worse recently and gone from weekends to Tues and Thurs.. I feel positive today . But that doesn’t mean nothing with addiction, I’ve actually just started playing destiny 2 on ps5.. I’m actually liking it so..after meetings and podcasts,I’m just gonna stick to that feeling for tonight ![]()

I can definitely relate to the traditional weekend binge turning into a multiple weekly occurrences! I’m glad you recognize that it’s an issue and that you’re taking steps in healthier directions though.
While I understand what you mean about feeling positive might not mean much considering how cunning addiction can be, I would definitely not hold back on positive thinking. There is definitely power in positive self talk and having a positive mindset! When I stopped calling myself a worthless failure on a daily basis and started treating myself with more respect internally, it gave me an opportunity to see myself and the world as a whole in a more positive light rather than negative. It takes time and effort to readjust established thought patterns, but it’s worth it ![]()

Moneys not the problem..I can go get lays and owe it at the end of the month if I wanted..I dnt spend loads on it really.. obviously it’s not good what I spend..but I can get it with out money if this makes sense

I really, really enjoy it. Plenty of PvE and PvP opportunities based on your play style, looting mechanics are fantastic and rewarding, and the variety of different types of ARC enemies is great! Their roadmap for updates is encouraging as well, it’s always good to know that developers are planning expansions and updates to keep the game fresh ![]()

I like to keep busy with the gym, adult coloring books, video games, going for coffee, cooking a healthy meal, journalling, meetings, naps, meditation, cleaning, self care, reading self help books, going for a nature walk etc Ive spent time trying diff hobbies, like puzzles, crafting, baking.
Also, I used to have days that were “trigger” days (the days I often used to use). But just try to view Tuesdays as any other day. Cuz thats all it is
Try not to put too much focus on it. Pretend its a Monday or something

It works though to give you some breathing space. My coke free date was 6th October 25. I put my phone, bank cards and spare money in a parcel and sent it to myself 2nd class post. I got it back 4 days later. It gave me 4 days of breathing space although the 4 days was horrible. Here i am 161 days clean.
