This has been tought but after Easter i made a decison to slow down my drinking to have clearer thoughts and achieve more of my goals. So far i have seen a change. Im not quiting cold turkey but i learned how to slow down and manage. Its getting easier. Im finding more ways to manage stress that dont envolve drinking and party drugs. I moved away from my party friends as a way to my recovery. I lost weight i didnt realize how much weight is related to sugary drinks. How much depression and sickness can come from these drugs. Because bad decisions stem from an unclear mind. I have someone to keep me busy and motivate me to keep me away from bad habits. Just having their positive reasurance makes me so happy. Its keeping me going even in a tough time.

Welcome!! It’s great that you’ve been able to cut back. Just fyi–you’re very welcome, but people here are pretty much all working on being completely sober. For most of us, we’ve found that we might be able to “manage” our addiction for awhile…but we’re addicts, so that doesn’t last. But read around and see if you find anything that speaks to you!
