I failed. Two hours away from 6 days. Resetting now and probably a few times tonight. But I learned I hope

The passive “learning” you’re hoping for, Imma tell you right now that is not a thing.
Persistence makes new patterns. Doing it over and over and over again, one day after another. Saying no to the crave again and again. Just like we became addicts by persistently indulging in our drugs of choice. We didn’t become addicts overnight, we won’t be recovered in a day or a week. Persistence. Work. Dedication. Not going it alone. One day at a time.
What new information did you learn from using coke that you didn’t already know?
Probably start with baby steps. You might think you don’t have the motivation but that’s just your addiction trying to bring you back.. New patterns? Go to a meeting Even if you don’t feel like it!! When you get up in the morning ask the universe or whatever you believe in to help you stay sober today. And if you feel like you don’t believe in anything well just be willing to believe that something is out there ..Call a few people and ask how they’re doing.. Keep your space clean even if in the beginning it’s just small steps. Go for a walk. Watch a movie. If you want to feel bad and feel sorry for yourself and do nothing Then you’re going to feel like crap. Stay busy especially in the beginning. You might feel tired from moving around but that’s a good thing. Feeling uncomfortable is progress because addiction is comfortable. There is no other way out but facing problems. Nothing worthwhile is easy. You hear that a lot because it’s true
