What kinds of books do you like or recommend?

Hi there,

I’d like to know what kinds of books anyone likes or any books they would recommend?

Thank you!

Happy reading.

for pleasure i recently loved - the oracle, exhalation, and currently starting neuromancer.

the forum search function will also pull up a bunch of threads you can scroll through on reading material. :+1:

I havent read any recovery based books so I cant help there.

My favourite books though, are novels that have been translated. You get a completely different feel from the writing styles youd be used to from your native language. My favourites are:

Independent People - Hallador Laxness (this is my favourite book full stop)
The Golem - Gustav Meyrink
The Tin Drum - Gunter Grass

Defiantly Russell Brand - addiction recovery !

Thank you. :slightly_smiling_face:

For pleasure high fantasy has always been my thing. If your a Game of Thrones type then:

The stormlight archive - Brandon Sanderson
The first law trilogy - Joe Abercrombie

About to try the kingkiller chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss which came highly recommended

For sobriety Russel Brands Recovery is a great place to start regardless of the addiction.

Happy reading!
